Surveillance Screener

Piapot First Nation invites applications for the Surveillance Screener.  Reporting to Public Works Manager, the Surveillance Screener interacts with band members, employees, and visitors appropriately and professionally. Using excellent communication skills, the Surveillance Screener will screen all visitors, employees, and vendors entering the Community Band Hall. The Surveillance Screener will provide masks, ask screening questions, and take the temperature with a touchless thermometer of anyone entering Community Band Hall.

Duties:

  • Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, mask, gloves, etc.)
  • Able to respect and enforce social distancing measures in the area
  • Able to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • To be available to work various shifts
  • To take employees temperature using a no-touch thermometer
  • To complete a screening self-assessment with all employees and visitors entering the Community Band Hall
  • Keeping a log record of all individuals who enter the building for contact tracing purposes
  • Refer individuals to advance screening if determined that all screening requirements are not met
  • Passing out information to band members, employees, and visitors and ensuring that they are following proper precautionary measures
  • Assisting facilities team with disinfecting duties of common area
  • Maintaining and ensuring signage is visible
  • Other duties as required.

  • Ability to do a great deal of physical activity including standing, walking, cleaning, and disinfecting
  • Ability to deal with emergencies and unpleasant, stressful situations at any given time

Qualifications:

  • The Surveillance Screener must have a minimum of Grade 12, or an equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Must be willing to travel and must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Must have security training
