RE: Changes to Disciplinary Policy and Student Handbook
Parent Engagement/High School Meet & Greet night was Wednesday September 4 from 5 to 6:30pm.
The following information was discussed and will be implemented into our school discipline policy:
1. CELL PHONES
All cell phones will stay in the student’s locker. If students choose not to abide by this rule in class, the follow through will be:
1st and only offense-
The phone is taken away and stored at the office until parents pick the phone up. The cell phone will then be kept at home and the privilege to have it at school will be lost for the remainder of the year.
No students are to leave the school grounds between the hours of 8:45am and 3:15pm. This is for the safety of our students. The follow through for not abiding by this rule will be:
1st offense- verbal warning
2nd offense-written warning
3rd offense-3-day suspension, with parents bringing the student back to school.
Being present and on time is important for student success. If your child is sick, please let the school know. This is an excused absence. The follow-through for consistent absenteeism is:
3 classes absent in a row-Phone call to parents.
days absence- Phone call to parents to schedule a meeting to sign an
Over 5 days absent- Will be based on a case by case situation/outcome.
4. INDOOR SHOES
For safety reasons, ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE INDOOR SHOES.
5. STUDENT ALLOWANCE
This year we have decided to give student allowance all students in grade 7 and up. Each student will be given $40 a month so long as they meet the requirements:
Be at school every day(sick is ok)
Do your best work

At the end of every month all name will be entered into a bigger draw to happen in January to win AMAZING PRIZES!
We care about your child’s success. Let’s work together to make, meet and surpass their goals.
Chief Payepot School thanks you for your cooperation in these matters.
